After stumbling upon a shirt at a jumble sale in 1970, Margaret Howell began her own brand inspired by the authenticity of nature, people and places. Designing casual, loose-cut clothing that she wanted to feel lived-in, the brand quickly became synonymous with a bespoke level of quality, reinforced by a special interest in unorthodox and uniquely detailed fabrics. We carry the MHL line serves as a continuation of the core themes of the brand but is also infused with an exaggerated workwear influence; think heavyweight twills, oversized patch pockets and box-cut work jackets. All of this culminates in an individual, contemporary version of the classic british workwear we’ve seen so many brands take inspiration from over the past few years.
